DIES AT HOME HERE Frank Albert Houghton. 84. for many years a resident of this community. passed away at his home in Palmyra, Friday, Apri I. He had been in failing health for several yean. Born near Ursa, Ill., he was a son of James and Nancy Ann Davidson Houghton. He came to this community as a young man and reared his family here. Fond of gardening, he was well known for the fine products he furnished to the residents of this community. Mr Houghton was first marred to Settie Hess who passed way December 5, 1899. Twelve years later on September 17. he was married to Ada Louelln Hayden of this community, who survives. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Butler of Snelbyviile and Mrs Lawrence Simmons of Richmond, Mo; five sons, Lawrenee of Palmyra, Norman, of Quincy; David of Riverside, Calif; James of Burnside, III , and Albert Houghton of New London, two brothers, Charles Houghton of Payson, III., and David Houghton of Quincy, and one half-brother, Henry Follum ol Payson. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Palllieurers were Chester Heyden, Joseph Hayden. Hurry White. Otis Crane, Wayne White and Robert Snell. Mr Houghton was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
