MELBA—Services for John P Houghton, 72, Melba, who died Tuesday in a Nampa hospital will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at the Alsip chapel in Nampa with Bishop Owen Alder of the Melba LDS ward officiating. Inter ment will be at Melba. Mr. Houghton was born April 14, 1886, in Mona, Utah, and resided for several years in Salt Lake City where he was married to Lucille Stansbury July 8, 1942. They moved to Idaho Falls and then resided in Nampa where he was employed by the Nampa city street department, and moving to Melba three years ago. He was a member of the LDS church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of Melba, include two sons, Eddie of Portland and Elmo Houghton, Tooele. Utah; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lola Montgomery and a step-son, Ronald H. Stansbury, both of Melba, and four grandchildren.
