Notes for Eliza (Sarah) BOOTH
That Edward(2) married the daughter of George and Elizabeth BOOTH is supported only by circumstantial evidence; most notable being the will of Elizabeth BOOTH757 which states “I give and bequeath unto Edward Mazingo my son in law five hundred pounds of tobacco that is in John Longworths hands to buy nails.”, and which further references granddaughter Sarah and grandson John, by the fact that Edward(2) and his wife named one of their children George, and by the existence of Dobbs County, NC militia records for one Booth MOZINGO, linking the BOOTH and MOZINGO names.

Thomas Grimstead was named Executor for the will of Elizabeth Booth, his mother-in-law.757 But he was remiss in distribution of some assets. He was sued by Elizabeth Booth’s son-in-law Edward Mozingo on behalf of Elizabeth Booth’s grandchildren John Mozingo and Sarah Mozingo.316
