[:TAB:] This is "George the House Carpenter".[:ITAL] He must be the same George Snelson who became a freeman of the City of Chester on June 1 1872, when he was described as a joiner of 31 Handbridge. In 1881 at the time of the Census, George was at 99 Handbridge with the family of his brother William and his wife Elza Jane. He was then described, like William as a House Carpenter. [:CR:]. |
