George B. McLellan Imel was born on 30 Aug 1864 in PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6
     He moved to Bennett Lane, MissouriG, with his parents in 1876.12 Three years later they move to Savannah, then to King City, MissouriG.12 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Jackson Twp., Gentry Co., Missouri, G in the household of his parents, Thomas Imel and Violetta Riegel.13
     He was employed by G. W. Chase & Son, a wholesale confectioner. He was listed as a clerk there in 1887 and 1888, but was called a "well-known traveling man," or traveling salesman, at the time of his death. His territory included Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.14,15,16
     A few weeks before his death while catching a train at Pacific Junction, IowaG, he waited till the train started moving to jump on, as was common for traveling salesmen. He slipped and one foot was run over by the train. Both he and his parents refused to have the foot amputated despite pleas from his brother, John. But gangrene set in.17
     George died on 20 Aug 1889 in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MissouriG, at age 24, of blood poisoning from an injury on a train a short time before.7,8,9 He was buried on 22 Aug 1889 in Mt. Mora Cemetery, St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MissouriG, in his father's lot.10,11

     She moved to Bennett Lane, MissouriG, with her parents in 1876.11 Three years later they move to Savannah, then to King City, MissouriG.11 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Jackson Twp., Gentry Co., Missouri, G in the household of her parents, Thomas Imel and Violetta Riegel.12
     Ida graduated from college on 20 Jun 1889. Her two older brothers, George and John, gave her a beautifully inscribed gold watch on the occasion.13
     She was a teacher at Everett School until her marriage.14
     Ida married Charles Cassius Crow, son of William A. Crow and Nora, on 1 Apr 1894 in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MissouriG, with Rev. M. M. Goode officiating.7,8
     Ida and Charles moved to unit 9 of the Virginia Flats, a new up-scale complex of flats on 10th St. in St. Joseph by 1898. The complex was entered on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 because of its architectural significance. They lived there until about 1902, but apparently escaped being included in the 1900 U.S. Census.15,16,17 They moved to 1118 N 12thG, a stand-alone home, about 190218, then to 1118 HenryG about 1905.19
     Ida and Charles moved to 2723 SenecaG about 1908, and continued to live there until they moved to Kansas City.20 They appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri G, at 2723 Seneca St., enumerated 16 Apr 1910, reporting that the family owned its home, free of mortgage. Their children Nora and Charles were listed as living with them, as was his father, William A. Crow.21
     Charles established a residence in Kansas City, Missouri, at 202 55th St. Terrace, about 1913, but he maintained his residence in both cities for a time. Ida and the family did not move to Kansas City until about Jan 1914, six months before her death.22,23,24,25
     Ida died on 8 Jul 1914 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MissouriG, at age 45, from complications following an operation.9,10 She was buried on 10 Jul 1914 in St. Joseph, MissouriG.9
