  • [S47] Fenker, Richard M. Jr., family file "Fenker.FTW," 29 Sep 1998, by disk. File produced by a high school student under the direction of Richard Fenker, Jr. from a large assortment of family materials collected by his mother, and a large handwritten tree of the Cobb family borrowed from Joseph Logan Milam. Much of his mothers' material, and the Cobb tree, are now in our possession and are cited separately. But some of the information in this file is not included in materials we have found so far, so appears it to come from records currently missing. The file is known to contain errors, particularly in spelling of names, but likely also elsewhere, which may be attributed to a combination of the unidentified sources and the inexperience of the transcriber.

  • [S76] Logan Family Bible (Philadelphia: Mcarthy & Davis, 1832); present owner Ben H. Logan, Arizona. Bible maintained from about 1830 to early 1900's. It seems to have been first used by Benjamin Harrison and Martha (Williamson) Logan, then by their son Benjamin H. Logan and his wife Sally Watson Barker, and then there are a few entries by later generations. The first family record page is for marriages, and records the marriages of James and Mary Logan, W. G. and Elizabeth Logan, and Benjamin and Martha, all in the same hand and likely written at one time, followed by others. The next page is for births and deaths, and contains many entries for ancestors and siblings of Benjamin, all in the same hand, followed by a few later entries. The third and forth pages, also for births and deaths, are labeled "Children of Harrison and Martha Logan," and " Children of B. H. and Sallie Watson Logan." Data taken from photographs of title and family record pages made for Martha Watson Cobb Fenker when she held the original. Interpretation assisted by lists made from the original by Ben H. Logan. Photographs now held by Nancy Fenker Reigel.
