Henry Stewart was born on 7 December 1545 at Temple Newson, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Matthew Stuart and Margaret Douglas.1 Henry Stewart married Mary Stuart Queen of Scotts, daughter of King James V (of Scotland) and Princess Marie (of Lorraine-Guise), on 29 July 1565 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland
.1,2 Henry Stewart died (murdered) on 10 February 1567 in Kirk O'field, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, at age 21.1,3 He was buried on 14 February 1566/67 at Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
He became the father of King James VI & I Stuart VI of Scotland and I of England on 19 June 1566.1
