Lucretia Rudolph

Lucretia Rudolph was born on 19 April 1832 in Garretsville, Portage County, Ohio.¹ She married President James Abram Garfield, son of Abraham (Abram) Garfield and Eliza Ballou, on 11 November 1858 in Hiram, Portage County, Ohio.¹ Lucretia Rudolph died on 4 March 1918 in South Pasedena, California, at age 85.¹ She was buried at Garfield Memor., Lakeview Cem., Cleveland, Ohio.¹
She became the mother of Eliza Arabella Garfield on 3 July 1860.¹ Lucretia Rudolph became the mother of Harry Augustus Garfield on 11 October 1863.¹ Lucretia's daughter Eliza Arabella Garfield died on 3 December 1863 in Hiram, Ohio.¹ Lucretia Rudolph became the mother of James Rudolf Garfield on 17 October 1865.¹ Lucretia Rudolph became the mother of Mary Garfield on 16 January 1867.¹ Lucretia Rudolph became the mother of Irvin McDowell Garfield on 3 August 1870.¹ Lucretia Rudolph became the mother of Abram Garfield on 21 November 1872.¹ Lucretia Rudolph became the mother of Edward Garfield on 25 December 1874.¹ Lucretia's son Edward Garfield died on 25 October 1876 in Washington, DC.¹ Lucretia Rudolph became a widow with the death of her husband, President James Abram Garfield on 19 September 1881 in Elberon, New Jersey, at age 49.¹ Lucretia's son was married at wedding of Harry Augustus Garfield and Belle Hartford Mason on 14 June 1888 in Cleveland, Ohio.¹ Lucretia's daughter was married at wedding of Mary Garfield and Joseph Stanley Brown on 14 June 1888 in Mentor, Ohio.¹ Lucretia's son was married at wedding of James Rudolf Garfield and Helen Newell Hills on 30 December 1890.¹ Lucretia's son was married at wedding of Abram Garfield and Sarah Granger Williams on 14 October 1897 in Cleveland, Ohio.¹ Lucretia's son was married at wedding of Irvin McDowell Garfield and Susan Emmons on 16 October 1906 in Boston, Massachusetts.¹
