Archduchess Maria Christina (of Austria) was born in 1858 in Austria.2 She was the daughter of Archduke Karl Ferdinand (of Austria) and Archduchess Elizabeth (of Austria).1 Archduchess Maria Christina (of Austria) married Alphonso XII (of Spain), son of King Francisco de Asis Maria Fernando (of Spain and the Indies) and Queen Isabel (Maria) Luisa II (of Spain and the Indies), in 1879.2 Archduchess Maria Christina (of Austria) died in 1929.2
Maria Christina's father Archduke Karl Ferdinand (of Austria) died on 20 November 1874 in Zidlochovice, Hustopece, Czechoslovakia.2 Archduchess Maria Christina (of Austria) became the mother of Maria De Las Mercedes about 1880.2 Archduchess Maria Christina (of Austria) became the mother of Maria Theresa (?) about 1882.2 Archduchess Maria Christina (of Austria) became a widow with the death of her husband, Alphonso XII (of Spain) on 25 November 1885 in Spain.2 Archduchess Maria Christina (of Austria) became the mother of Alphonso XIII (of Spain) on 17 May 1886.2 Maria Christina's mother Archduchess Elizabeth (of Austria) died in 1903.2 Maria Christina's son was married at wedding of Alphonso XIII (of Spain) and Victoria Eugenia (of Battenberg) on 9 March 1906 in Madrid, Spain.2
