King Maximilian I Josef (of Bavaria) was born on 27 May 1756 in Mannheim, Mannheim, Baden.¹ He was the son of Count Friedrich Michael (of Birkenfeld) and Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach).¹ King Maximilian I Josef (of Bavaria) married Princess Karoline Friederike Wilhelmine (of Baden), daughter of Hereditary Prince Karl (of Baden) and Princess Amalie (Friederike) (of Hesse-Darmstadt), on 9 March 1797.¹ King Maximilian I Josef (of Bavaria) died about 12 October 1825 in Mhunchen, Oberbayern, Bavaria.¹ He was buried on 18 October 1825 in Mhunchen, Oberbayern, Bavaria.¹
