Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach) was born on 15 June 1724 in Schwetzingen, Mannheim, Baden.1 She married Count Friedrich Michael (of Birkenfeld), son of Christian III Palsgrave (of Birkenfeld-Zweibrucken) and Countess Karoline (of Nassau-Saarbrucken), on 6 February 1746 in Mannheim, Mannheim, Baden.1 Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach) died on 15 November 1794 in Oberpfalz, Bavaria, at age 70.1 She was buried in Oberpfalz, Bavaria.1
She became the mother of Duke Karl (of Zweibrücken) on 29 October 1746.1 Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach) became the mother of Count Klemens (of Birkenfeld) on 18 September 1749.1 Marie Franziske Dorothea's son Count Klemens (of Birkenfeld) died on 19 June 1750.1 Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach) became the mother of Countess Amalie (of Birkenfeld) on 10 May 1752.1 Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach) became the mother of Countess Marie Anna (of Birkenfeld) on 18 July 1753.1 Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach) became the mother of King Maximilian I Josef (of Bavaria) on 27 May 1756.1 Countess Marie Franziske Dorothea (of Sulzbach) became a widow with the death of her husband, Count Friedrich Michael (of Birkenfeld) on 15 August 1767 in Schwetzingen, Mannheim, Baden, at age 43.1
