President Zachary Taylor

     President Zachary Taylor, son of Richard Taylor and Sarah Dabney Strother, was born on 24 November 1784 in Montebello, Orange County, Virginia.¹ President Zachary Taylor was the son of Richard Taylor and Sarah Dabney Strother.¹ President Zachary Taylor married Margaret Mackall Smith on 21 June 1810 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.¹ President Zachary Taylor died on 9 July 1850 in White House, Washington, DC, at age 65.¹ He was buried in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.¹

Chose Millard Fillmore as vice-president. Died in office, while Congress was in session. Was a second cousin of James Madison.¹ Zachary's daughter was married at wedding of Mary Elizabeth Taylor and William Smith Bliss on 5 December 1848.¹ President Zachary Taylor became President of the United States on 4 March 1849 replacing President James Knox Polk. President Zachary Taylor was over President Milard Filmore as Vice President of the United States on 4 March 1849. President Zachary Taylor was replaced as President of the United States by President Milard Filmore on 10 July 1850.
