MILNE-McDOUGALL
The First Baptist Church, Regina, was the scene of a ceremony Wednesday afternoon at 4.30 by which Mary Isabelle, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. McDougall, Regina, became the bride of Mr. Ivan Courtney Milne, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Milne, Kinley, Sask. The church was beautifully decorated with palms, ferns, gladioli, peonies and other summer blooms, and the of white Rev. H. R. Nobles guest a pewtuwere marked with bows officated.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father, entered the church to the strains of the Lohengrin bridal march played by Miss Josephine Radcliffe. The bride wore a gown of ivory crepe romaine over brocaded silver cloth, draped and caught at either side with rhinestones. Her veil, embroidered with silver and rhinestones, was fastened | in mob cap style, and heid in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and diamente. Her bouquet was of sweetheart roses, lilies of the valley and ferns.
Miss Ruth McConnel, as flower girl, wore a ruffled frock of peach taffeta and bandeau in peach and green shades. She carried a basket of pastel sweet peas and rose petals. Miss Alexandra McDougall, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid model dress of peach georgette, with gunmetal mohair hat, trimmed with velvet in peach tones and knot of French flowers, and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas and fern. Mr. Mervin Milne, brother of the groom, was best man. The ushers were Mr. Williard Milne, brother of the groom, and Mr. Neil McDougall, brother of the bride.
Mrs. McDougall wore a gown of brocaded orchid flat crepe with picture hat to match. Mrs. Milne was gowned in black flat crepe with Rosewood hat. Both wore corsage bouquets of orchids, lilies of the valley and ferns.
During the signing of the register Miss Ruby McConnel sang "Oh, Promise Me.'
The groom's gift to the bride was travelling case and hat box; to the bridesmaid a white gold and amethyst bar® pin; to the flower girl gold bracelet; to the best man and ushers, gold cuff links; and to the organist and soloist, French etchings.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors which were decorated with palms and baskets of peonies. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Milne received with the bridal couple. White streamers from the chandelier to the table were held by a vases of rosebuds. Tall pink tapers were also used. Mrs. E. Jackson poured tea and Mrs. C. Rand cut the ices. Asisting were Mrs. A. McLellan, Miss Mary Kennedy, Miss Edna McLellan, Miss Edna Rand, Miss Inez Nobles, Miss Annie Sandstrom, Miss Alma Sandstrom and Miss Margaret Lunam.
The bride's two-piece travelling costume was of Ivory crepe satin. over which she wore a black satin coat with moleskin collar and model hat of black felt, with silver ornament and applique of satin.
Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Milne and family, and Mrs. Harrison, grandmother of the groom, all of Kinley, and other relatives. After a honey moon spent at Banff, Mr. and Mrs. Milne will be at home after August 15 at Kinley.5
The First Baptist Church, Regina, was the scene of a ceremony Wednesday afternoon at 4.30 by which Mary Isabelle, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. McDougall, Regina, became the bride of Mr. Ivan Courtney Milne, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Milne, Kinley, Sask. The church was beautifully decorated with palms, ferns, gladioli, peonies and other summer blooms, and the of white Rev. H. R. Nobles guest a pewtuwere marked with bows officated.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father, entered the church to the strains of the Lohengrin bridal march played by Miss Josephine Radcliffe. The bride wore a gown of ivory crepe romaine over brocaded silver cloth, draped and caught at either side with rhinestones. Her veil, embroidered with silver and rhinestones, was fastened | in mob cap style, and heid in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and diamente. Her bouquet was of sweetheart roses, lilies of the valley and ferns.
