B. W. Ball. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. B. Baldwin (Cathleen) of Sarnia, Ont., Mrs. W. Stockley (Mary) of Winnipeg, Man; two sons, Aquila and Thomas both of Saskatoon, one sister, Mrs. C.A. Young of Saskatoon, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sweet was predeceased by his wife in 1949. The late Mr. Sweet was born in Wingham, Ont. and came to the Deloraine, Man. district with his parents as an infant. In 1905 he homesteaded in the Langham district and moved to Asquith in 1918 where he resided until being hospitalized five years ago. Mr. Sweet was a former member of the IOOF. With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Olive Lillian Sweet on June 25, 1996 at St. Paul's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Olive was born July 23, 1911 , the eldest of five children of Louis and Margaret Johnson of the Eagle Creek District near Asquith. In 1937 she married Thomas George Sweet of Asquith and together they raised their family of four children in the Asquith and Park districts before making their home in Saskatoon in 1953. Olive was predeceased by her husband, Tom in 1984; daughter, Gloria Shier in 1991; sister, Esther Casley in 1978; her brother, Ralph Johnson in 1991; and her brothers and sister-in-law. Aquila (Cy) Sweet, Bruce Baldwin, Alvin Casley and Mary Stockley. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Bruce) Griffiths and Dorothy (Robin) Hewson; her son. Bill (Joan) Sweet; son-in-law, Clare Shier; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; as well as her sister, Evelyn (Joe) Fairbrother; her brother, Lloyd (Marion) Johnson; sisters-in-law. Audrey John6on, Bessie Sweet, Cathleen Baldwin; and brother-in-law, William Stockley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a very special lady who enjoyed times with her family, flowers, reading, watching sports of all kinds, and fishing with Tom when he was still alive. Rev. Milton Johnson performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a white lace and sheer gown with veil and carried a bouquet of red roses and white 'mums.

The bridesmaid, Jessie Burwell, cousin of the bride, wore pink sheer and carried a bouquet of mauve and white baby mums. The groom was attended by the brides brother, Clark Burwell. A wedding supper was held at the home of the brides parents, and a dance later in the Asquith Community Hall. The couple will reside at Asquith.1

Ralph is survived by his loving wife Audrey of Asquith, two daughters, Carol Johnson of Calgary and Maxine Johnson of Long Beach, California; two sons, Clark (Connie) and their sons, Aaron and Kristan of Asquith and Blake (Mamie) and their daughter. Karty of Kinistino, Sask; two sisters, Olive Sweet and Evelyn (Joe) Fairbrother both of Saskatoon; a brother Lloyd (Marion) of Asquith and numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his parents Louis and Margaret; a sister Esther and her husband Alvin Casley and brother-in-law Tom Sweet. Ralph was born, raised, educated and farmed with his father in the Eagle Creek district until 1 948. Ralph married Audrey Burwell on November 26th, 1 948 in Saskatoon and continued fanning until 1983 when they retired to Asquith. Following polio in 1952 and failing health Ralph still persevered and remained in good saints. He enjoyed sports, company and especially the card games. Ralph also had a great love tor reading. Donations may oe made io the Asquith Cemetery Fund, co Town of Asquith, S0K 0J0 or St. Paul's Hospital Building Fund, 1702-20th Street West, Saskatoon, S7M 0Z9 or to a charity of the donors choice.
