     Charles Adison Holohan died on 6 June 1959 at Whitaker Hospital, Moberly, Sugar Creek Twp., Randolph County, Missouri, USA, at age 74 according to Missouri Death Certificate 59-022483. He was a farmer in the "grain & livestock" industry.1,2,4
     The following selected information is extracted from the obituary of Chas. A Holohan.
Survived by his wife, the former Carrie Hayden. Survivor(s): Gail Holohan and Elwood Holohan. Predeceased: Roy Holohan.7,4
The cause of his death was given as Sepsin and terminal pneumonia due to Inanition and debilitation and fracture left hip.2 The informant on his death registration was his wife, Carry Josephine Holohan. His father was identified as Mary Bell West and Martin Van Buren Holohan.2
     Charles Adison Holohan was buried on 8 June 1959 at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison, Monroe County, Missouri, USA.1,2
     Charles and Carrie J. Holohan appeared on the 1910 U.S. Federal Census of Union Twp., Monroe County, Missouri, enumerated 19 April 1910, described as a general farmer. Their son, Charles G, was listed as living with them.5 Chas. Holohan, of Madisoon, MO, was the informant on the death registration of his father, Martin J Holohan, who died on 18 January 1917.8 Chas. A Holohan, of Madison, MO, was the informant on the death registration of his m other, Mary Belle Holohan, who died on 24 December 1943.9
     In the obituary of Mary Belle Holohan who died 24 December 1943, her son, Charlie Holohan of Madison, was listed as a survivor.10
     He fell at his home on 11 Apr 1959, fracturing his hip. He was initially admittted to Woodland Hospital where he had surgery.On 07 May, it was reported that he had been moved to Woodland Hospital where he was in fair condition.11,12

     Mary Belle West died on 24 December 1943 at Community Nursing home, Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri, USA, at age 80.1,3 The informant on her death registration was heer son, Chas. A Holohan. She was the widow of the late Martin Van Buren Holohan.3
      The cause of her death was given as "Cerebral Hemorhage" due to Hypertension and Arteriosclerosis.3
     The following obituary appeared in the newspaper the Moberly Monitor-Index published in Moberly, Missouri 27 December 1943:
Mrs. Mary Belle Holohan, Madison, Dies at Kirksville
     MADISON, Mo., Dec. .27.--Mrs. Mary Belle Holohan, widow of the late Martin Holohan, died at the Community Nursing home in Kirksville, Mo., early on the evening of Dec. 24. Mrs. Holohan had been a patient there for only a few days. She suffered a paralytic stroke the day before her death.
     She was born August 27, 1863, in Monroe County, and had spent her entire life in the county. Her husband died many years ago. She was a member of the Christian Church.
     Surviving are seven sons, Charlie, Roy, Will and Claude of Madison, Mo; Allen and Ray of Moberly, and Rolla of Pau, Idaho. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one sister, Mrs. John W. Dry of Madison.
     Funeral services were at Madison Christian Church burial in Allen Cemetery, South of Madison, Mo.4
