Their children Thomas, Harry, Lois Jean and Lyle were listed as living with them. According to this census, Mamye had 12 children, and was married at the age of 25.8

     The following information is from my personal research, 1931:
There are two others buried in Springdale Cemetery that could be sons of this couple. They are Donald R who died in 1931 and Kenneth who died in 1929. One of these would bring the total of her children to 12, as indicated in the 1940 census and on her gravemarker.6

     In the obituary of Henry C. Price who died 18 December 1932, his daughter, Mrs. Harry Schawl was listed as a survivor.1
     In the obituary of Richard C Price who died 10 November 1937, Richard's sister, Mamie Price was listed as a survivor.12
     In the obituary of Ruth Price who died 28 January 1972, Ruth's sister, Mayme Schawl was listed as a survivor.13

     Harry L Shawl and Mayme Schawl appeared on the 1930 U.S. Federal Census of Melrose Park, Proviso Twp., Cook County, Illinois, enumerated 1 April 1930, enumerated as a brakeman for the C.N.W.R.R. (Chicago and North Wester railroad. Their children Thomas, Harry, Lois Jean and Lyle were listed as living with them. As was his brother-in-law, Harry Price.3
Harry L Shawl and Mayme Schawl appeared on the 1940 U.S. Federal Census of Clinton, Clinton Twp., Clinton County, Iowa, enumerated 17 April 1940, enumerated as a brakeman for the railroad. Their children Thomas, Harry, Lois Jean and Lyle were listed as living with them. According to this census, Mamye had 12 children, and was married at the age of 25.7
     Harry Lymen Schawll registered for the draft on 5 June 1917 at Clinton, Clinton Twp., Clinton County, Iowa, USA. He reported being a constable for Clinton County, supporting his sister. He had served for 3 years as Corporal in the Iowa Artillery..4
     The following information is from my personal research, 1931:
There are two others buried in Springdale Cemetery that could be sons of this couple. They are Donald R who died in 1931 and Kenneth who died in 1929. One of these would bring the total of her children to 12, as indicated in the 1940 census and on her gravemarker.9
