     A pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Preston A. Jones, when their younger daughter, Violet Lillian, became the bride of TO. Russell Edwin Bower, RCNVR, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bower of Veteran, Alberta. Rev. R. G. MacKay officiated at the Valentine's Day ceremony.
     The bride wore a navy blue ensemble with a shoulder spray of sweetheart roses and valley lilies. Her sister, Miss Hazel Jones, wearing a gold ensemble with a corsar of carnations, being her only attendant.
     TO. Jack McLellan, RCNVR, was bestman and another sister of the bride, Mrs. C. G. Falls, was the soloist.
     The valentine, (sic) motif was carried out in the rooms and on the bridal table which was centred with a beautiful wedding cake. Following the reception TO. and Mrs. Bower left for Victoria where they will spend their honeymoon before taking up residence at 1414 Gladstone Avenue, Victoria, B.C.5
