     He died on 7 July 1957 at Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 28 in a parachute accident while stationed at CFB Cold Lake. He was particpating in a parachute demonstration over York Lake at the official opening of the regional park. Ralph and Annette Gienow can clearly remember the day this happened. The demonstration was part of the Yorkton Fair. He had repacked his new parachute because he did not trust the manufacturer's packing.8,5,9,10,11,6,12,13 Ronald Bruce Gienow was buried on 10 July 1957 at Yorkton City Cemetery, Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada.8,13

Ger attendants were Miss Frances Ferguson and Miss Patricia Gunn, and LAC Al Metson was best man.

Mr. and Mrs. Gienow left on a wedding trip to Montreal and Quebec following a reception at the home of the bride's parents. For travelling, the bride wore a suit of claret gabardine with grew accessories and corsage bouquet of roses.

The newly weds will make their home in Ottawa.4
