In the obituary of Ida Belle Jackson who died 17 April 2011, her son, Jim Jackson was listed as predeceased.8

The following biographical information was shared , 31 August 2011:
Thoughts of Jimmy go back to the mid 50s. Special memories of the M. Y. F. going to see The Ten Commandments. Fannie Gay was the adult leader driving us down to Pryor to the Allred in her new 1958 Chevy. All of us guys sure thought that was a real cool car.

Remember, everyone was wondering how Moses parted the Red Sea? Bet Jimmy knows now.

We all joined the new Boy Scout Troop at the Methodist Church, in March of 1958.

Frank Deffenbaugh was the Scoutmaster. About 15 boys met each Monday at 7:00.

Many a great campout with two special memories of Jimmy. We traveled to Langley's Hill, west of town. We would hike the woods and climb those cliffs. When a guy is small, they were a thousand feet tall. As we grew older, we discovered they were about 20 feet tall. The big weekend campout in the wintertime to Jimmy's grandfather's farm, northwest of Adair. We had no tents but, the Lumber Yard gave us a large tarp to sleep under. We thought frost bite was a clear and imminent danger.

As we grew older, Jimmy's brother, Dwayne became very popular with us younger boys. He could drive. That brings up a number of memories of that Plymouth Fury. God must have laid His hand on that car. We took many trips to the drive-in movies south of Pryor. We never watched much of the movie, but had a great time visiting with our friends. Somehow I always wound up spending the night with Jimmy and his family after these outings. They had an outside stairway to their bedroom. Many a night we would try to be very quiet going up those stairs and getting into bed very late at night. I kinda thought Norman and Ida Belle knew how late we came home.

Now, about that outside bedroom! I figure Norman had to store ice in there in the winter, cause it stayed cold all the time.

I believe Jimmy has already met some of the Boy Scout Troops' past members; Robert Goodwin, Ross and Vernie Clagett. Hope they will keep an eye out for a good campsite for Eddy, Timmy, Gail and Carl. Troop 167 will always have their memories of our dear friend, Jimmy.4
