The following biographical information appeared at the LDS Ancestral File Genealogy of the John Jackson Family ( AFN: 1J6J-705), 1975:
Clyde Alvin Jackson (1879-1941) and his wife, Dora A. Bodle Jackson (1878-1919) were married in the fall, November 12, 1902. A young bride came to the Reuben Jackson homestead. Dora Bodle Jackson came with her young husband, Clyde, to care for and comfort the stricken family over the loss of Mary Ellen "Ella" Smith Jackson (1855-1902), wife and mother.

One year later, on November 12, 1903, their first wedding anniversary, a little son came into their lives and he was given the name of Harold Lowell Jackson (1903-1692). The lonely grandfather took this child into his arms and Harold loved his grandfather, John H. Jackson (1854-181929) more than anyone else. Harold attended the little one room school house on Salt Fork, district seven, in Miller Township from 1910 to 1913.

Clyde and Dora bought the Joe Jackson place at the top of the Jackson hill about a mile and a half northeast of their first home. They moved there in the fall of 1906, when Floyd (1881-1958) and Nora Jackson (1881-1963) were married and moved into the Reuben Jackson (1810-1887) homestead. Here they had two more sons, Alvin (b.1909) and John Orville (b. 1911).

Clyde and Dora again sold the farm on Jackson Ridge and moved over in Ohio a few miles north of Harrison in 1913, and here was given to them, a sweet little daughter, Edna Katherine Jackson (b.1915). When Edna was four years old, again death came all too soon and Dora, the mother and wife, after a short illness was taken September 22, 1919 at the age of 41.

Clyde left the farm and moved to Harrison, engaged in and carried on the Public Utility Trucking company until the children were grown and through high school.

Clyde was a man of sterling qualities, truthful, honest, upright in all his dealings. He was a kind husband and a loving and devoted father to his motherless children. He was strong in his convictions. He was a fine example for the children in molding their characters.

He had the satisfaction and pleasure of seeing his children grown and happily married and settled; taking their places in the business and life of their community at Harrison, OH. A credit to his endeavors and training; a big task to a motherless home.

Some years ago he had a fall that permanently injured one of his limbs, causing at first much discomfort and later much suffering. He finally went to Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, OH for special treatment. He became much better and came home, but after a few days, developed pneumonia. He was taken back to the hospital but passed away August 8, 1941.1
