He was born in Arkwright April 22, 1878. and resided in this vicinity for fifty years and for a short time in Rochester. He has been a carpenter at the Alco plant and was formerly a building contractor. He belonged to the Laona Evangelical church.

He leaves his widow. Bertha Gilray Goldberg. five children. Leonard Goldberg. C. C. M.. United States navy, Dutch Harbor, Alaska; Edith Goldberg Shinn, Elmira; Cecile M. Goldberg, Utica; Dorothy Goldberg Garrahan, Washington, D. C.. and Irene C. Goldberg.
