     Margaret Minty and George Minty appeared on the 1916 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces, RM of Park No. 375, Saskatchewan, enumerated 1 June 1916, enumerated as a farmer and a Presbyterian. Their son Gordon was listed as living with them. They had a 17 year old hired man named Hugh Mackie.7
     Her name was also recorded as Sophia M Watson on her marriage registration.4,5
     In 1903, Margaret and George moved with their son Gordon from Craighurst to Rainy River, Ontario, Canada. In 1906 they moved to the Asquith district.1

MRS. MARGARET S. MINTY
Death of Mrs. Margaret S. Minty, Dunfermline resident for the last 32 years, occurred there, Thursday, in her eighty-eighth year. She was born in Dalston, Ontario. Her husband, George Minty, died in 1921. She is survived by two sons, R. J. Minty of Dunfermline, and Gordon Minty of Asquith, and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Lowe, of Toronto. She was a member of the United Church. Funeral will be at Asquith, Monday, at 2 o'clock, with the Park Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.6
