     She was born on 19 December 1879 at Ontario, Canada.6 Alternatively, she was born in 1880 as recorded on her gravestone2 or circa 1882 based upon her stated age of 26 when she married in 1908.7,8 Annie married John Kranz on 31 March 1898 at Golden Lake, Wilberforce Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 014709.4,6 Annie married John Pfannenhauer on 2 April 1908 at Palmer Rapids, Raglan Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 017185. She was a widow.

On their Ontario Marriage License dated March 31, 1908, they gave their intended place of marriage as Brudenell Twp., and he gave his name as William.9,10,11,12,2,3,8,5
     She died in 1959.2 Annie Mantifle was buried at Zion Evangelical United Church Cemetery, Pembroke - Boundary Road, Twp. of Laurentian Valley, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.2

     He was born on 15 January 1823 at Germany.5,6 He was born circa 1833 at Germany reported as 29 in 1862 Brandenburg emigration records, but his wife is 37, and he has a 17 year old son. Other sources reporting 1823 as year of birth are probably more accurate.7 Carl married Johanna Charlotte Caroline Quast before 1845.8,5,6

Census Data

     Carl Phaninhaur and Charlotte appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Algona Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 4 April 1881. Carl was enumerated as Methodist Canada and a Farmer. Their children Matilda and Mary were listed as living with them.9
     Carol Pfannenhayer and Johannah C appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Algona Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901. Carol was enumerated as a Lutheran and a Farmer. His gransdon, John F Griese, was a day labourer on a farm.5
     Carl Ludwig Pfannenhauer was Tageloehner, a land laborer earning daily wage in kind (Deputat), some cash. in 1862.10,11 He and Johanna Charlotte Caroline Quast emigrated in 1862 from Germany originating from Breitenstein/Friedeberg (Germany) to North America.12 Carl Ludwig Pfannenhauer immigrated in 1863 to Canada West, United Province of Canada, from Germany according to the 1901 census.5 He was naturalized in 1876 Canadian.5
