Hannah Tracy, dau. of Thomas Tracy and Lucy Sprague, b. of record Feb. 25, 1765 at Sharon, Conn. She d. Oct. 30, 1841 at Albion, Michigan, Æ 77. The Hannah Tracy Grant Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Albion, Michigan is named for her.

In 1784 at Sharon Springs, NY, Hannah m. Dr. Isaac Grant, s. of Ebenezer4 Grant (Josiah3, John2, Matthew1) and Martha Hill, b. Apr. 6, 1759 at Goshen, Conn. He d. Nov. 9, 1841 at Albion, Michigan. They had nine children (surname Grant): Isaac, Elihu, Loring, Roswell (d.y.), Charles, Marcena (d.y.), Maria (d.y.), Jesse Chapman, and Juliana Delay.

In addition to the biographic material of Dr. Grant in his memorial, from the manuscript of the autobiography of his son Charles: "The remarkable cold winter that Washington's army lay at Valley Forge - my father on going there was overtaken alone and barefoot being otherwise poorly clad by Baron DeStuben who, seeing him in such plight and having pity for him took him into his baroch and wrapping his great Dutch mantle round my father and placing him between his knees with his dog drove on to Valley Forge for his own winter quarters, giving my father on the way as good fare as himself had; while on the way the old Baron was as familiar as he would have been with one of his neighbors, but that familiarity ceased on arriving in camp."

William R. Walker married Rena B. Bullock, daughter of Newman Camel Bullock and Amy Abigal (Abbie) Richards, on 21 August 1895 in Merrill, Plymouth County, Iowa.1,4

William R. Walker died He is listed in the 1910 census, but his wife Rena is shown as a widow in the 1920 census. between 1911 and 1919.5


William R. Walker and Rena B. Walker appeared on the census of 1900 which lists William Walker, 49; his wife Rena B., 29, born in Iowa, father born in Wisconsin [sic, New York], mother born in Connecticut; and their son Ernest V, 1, born in Iowa. Rena is listed as having given birth to 5 children, one of whom was still living, but this is perhaps questionable as they had been married for less than five years.3 He was a laborer at the stockyards in 1900.3

William R. Walker and Rena B. Bullock appeared on the census of 1910 in Herman, Lake County, South Dakota, which lists William R. Walker, 60, born in Canada (emigrated to USA in 1856), both parents born in Maine; his wie Rena B., 39, born in Wisconsin [sic, actually Iowa]; and their children, Ernest V., 12, born in Iowa, Gladys M. 9, born in Iowa, V.N. (daughter), 6, born in South Dakota, and Willoughby, 4, born in South Dakota.2 He was a laborer for the city in 1910.2

He was one of the original proprietors of Norwich, justice of the peace, represented his town in the legislature at six sessions, and was prominent in all public affairs. He married, August 17, 1670, Mary, born 1646, died July 21, 1721, daughter of Josiah and Margaret (Bourne) Winslow and niece of Governor Winslow of the "Mayflower."

    Thomas Tracy was the second son of Lt. Thomas and Mary Conway Mason-Tracy who was born at Wethersfield, Conn and married around 1675.
