Subject: [CA-GOLDRUSH] Most Wanted: Charles STANFORD / Helen EMMONS

Charles STANFORD and his wife Helen EMMONS arrived in CA from IL between 1851 and 1853 based on children's birthplaces. In 1858 he registered a patent for mining equipment which stated he lived in Mt. Gregory, CA. They were in Placer County in the 1860 census. By 1863 they were living in San Francisco. I want to find out how they got to CA and more about their Gold Rush years 1853-1863. He was 1st cousin to Leland STANFORD. Jennifer Stice Rowe, MD, My Web Page
