Etta A. Ball appeared on the census of 1900 in Leverett, Franklin County, Massachusetts, which lists Etta A. Ball. 41, born in Massachusetts in September 1858, a widow; her daughter Alice W. Ball, 19, born in Massachusetts in November 1880; and her son Fordyce S. Ball, 5, born in Massachusetts in August 1894. Etta had given birth to two children, both of whom were living.4
