Ruby Foudray, 94, of Blackwell died Monday evening May 18, 1998, at her home.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 22, in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Willbanks, Tree of Life Community Church of Riverside, Calif., officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robert's and Son Funeral Home.
Casket bearers are her grandsons and a family friend. The casket will only be open at the funeral home.
She was born on Aug. 4, 1902, in Maramec to James Dudley and Sarah Jane (Beavers) Childers.
She grew up in Maramec area and attended schools in Yale and Stillwater.
She married Charles Otis Foudray on June 5, 1921 in Yale. They settled in Blackwell where she was a homemaker.
Her husband preceeded her in death on June 18 1976 and she remained in Blackwell.
Mrs. Foudray's hobbies included needlework and reading. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blackwell.
She also enjoyed her grandchildren and family who were dear to her heart.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceeded in death by a daughter, Mildred Willbanks? three brothers, Claude, Elmer and Herman Childers? three grandchildren and one great grandson.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Heart Fund.6

    Ruby was age 17 years, 10 months, 1 day when she married the love of her life, Charles Otis Foudray, on Sunday, 5 June 1921 and he was 19 years, 9 months, 6 days. They had quite a journey and were married just over 55 years, until his death on June 18 1976.
    Ruby did not have a middle name so she told stories of how people would call her 'Ruby Only'.
    She was a very cheerful person even in her elder years and delighted in visiting her children and their spouses and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    She is missed by all who knew her.
