Alton Haughton
WAYNESVILLE—Alton Kinsley Haughton, 96, of Rt. 5 Waynesville, died Thursday in a Pigeon Valley rest home after a long illness. .
He was a native of Plymouth, N. C.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James Lassiter of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Evora Bowers of Rt. 5 Waynesville and Mrs. Bernice Allport of Detroit, Mich.
Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home.
The Revs. Edsel Burgess and John Finger will officiate. Burial will be in Lowe Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Ketner, Robert and Wayne Yarborough, Earl Hannah, Hiram Caldwell, Walter Ward. Norman Bradley and Earl Clark.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Waynesville Free Methodist Church.
