She was born June 1, 1911 in Claremont, N.H., daughter of the late Philip and Ellen Houghton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Edward Patterson. She is survived by her sons, Philip E. Patterson and his wife Julie of Buena Vista and Charles H. Patterson of Lexington; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 1998, from the graveside at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Lomax Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad.¹

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Martine Bradley Houghton; two daughters, Connie Harris and Donna Barbos, both of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Marjorie Duvall of Kitchewtrl, Ontario, Canada; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.¹
