Patricia Winifred Houghton Brown, born March 27, 1932, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, in Sacramento, California. She is preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Ralph Lindsay Brown, U.S.A.F., Ret., and her brother, Maurice WilliamHoughton. Patricia is survived by her sister, Barbara Ann Houghton; her son Christopher Michael Brown, wife Jenny; her daughter, Leslie Karen Brown Lutz, husband Russell; and her grandchildren, Jana Brown, Jillian Brown, and Robin Lutz. Patricia was born in The Bronx, New York, to British and Scottish immigrant parents. As a young woman, she traveled to Nagoya, Japan, to work for the Air Force as a secretary. After taking college night classes, she transferred to the Pentagon, becoming a Programs Analyst in Biological and Chemical Warfare. She raised two children, and then changed her career to real estate after moving to San Antonio, working as a realtor for Coldwell Banker for ten years. She lived in Garden Ridge for over twenty five years. Patricia had a lifelong love of antiques, politics, and British history. We will miss her infectious laugh, warm heart, and adventurous spirit.
