Gertrude M. Houghton, 78, Fairway, died Aug. 4, 1993, at the home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church; entombment in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery mausoleum. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Newcomer's Overland Park Chapel, where the rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests contributions to Hospice Care of Mid-America. Mrs. Houghton was born in St. Joseph and moved to this area in 1953. She was a registered nurse, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the church. Survivors include a son, Don Houghton, Norton, Kan; two daughters, Sandy McNally and Judy Brammeier of Shawnee; a brother, Norman Curtin, Denver; a sister, Irma Pence, Liberty; and six grandchildren.
