In 1850, Laura A. Skinner was listed with her parents in Eaton Rapids, Eaton County, Mich. In 1850 her father was listed as Oramel D. Skinner and her mother as Allice, both b. at Ver. In 1860, Laura A. Skinner was living with her father, O.D. Skinner, age 60, b. Ver., and brother James, 17, in Lansing, Mich. In 1870, Laura (Skinner) Green was living near Oramel Skinner. They are counted on the same page in the Lansing census.

In 1880, Augusta indicated her parents were b. at Ver. Myron was still living in Lansing, where he was listed as a merchant of agricultural implements. One more daughter was listed, Eliza S., age 9, b. Mich. Middle initials for the daughters from the 1880 census: Ella M., Mary A., Alice K.

In Oct. 1879, Myron Green bought lots 9 and 10 “on which the old capitol was located” in Lansing.[v] In 1880 Myron’s property was valued at $5200.[vi] He was treasurer in Lansing from 1875-1878.[vii]

Louisa Shankland was married to Frank S. Gaylord and they lived in Brighton, Livingston County, Mich. At the time of Myron’s marriage to Louise in 1892 and on the 1900 census, he was listed as a real estate dealer. In 1900 Myron and Louisa were living in Lansing, Mich. A son of Louisa’s, Robert S. Gaylord, age 21, b. at Mich. May 1878, was living with them. In 1910, Louisa was called M. Louise. She indicated no children.

In 1920, at age 88, Myron was still living in Lansing and selling real estate. His divorced daughter, E. [Eliza] S. Tucker and her three children were living with him.
Martha A. Green “wife of Myron Green” is buried in section A, Mount Hope cemetery. Laura’s death on Interment.net is listed as 6 Oct. 1889. She is buried in section A. Myron is also buried there in section A.

Cora, b. at Mich., abt. 1857. She was listed in 1860 and 1870.

Scott H. Green, who d. 22 Mar. 1857. He is also buried in section A.

Ella M. Green, b. at Mich. abt. 1861.

Children of Laura:

Mary A. Green (1866-1898),[viii] who d. at Lansing, Mich., 1 Jan. 1898, m. ISAAC D. NORTH (1855-1891)[ix]. They are buried in Mount Hope cemetery.
