Mr. Houghton was born in Salt Lake City, September 10, 1805, a son of George F. and Marion Delamorc Houghton. He served hi the United States Navy air corps as a mechanic during the war, and since then had been an automobile mechanic in Salt Lake City,

Everett Arthur Haughton
Everett Arthur Haughton of Watson, Mo., died between 3:00 and 4:00 o’clock Thursday afternoon, October 30, 1958, in a hospital at Hamburg. Iowa. Mr. Haughton broke his hip and was taken to the hospital October 22. He submitted to surgery and was bedfast in the hospital. The cause of his death was a cerebral hemorrhage on the day of his death. His age was 76 years, nine months and 20 days.
Mr. Haughton was born at Gentry, Ark., January 10, 1882. He was a son of Samuel and Evangeline (Wells) Haughton. Mr. Haughton lived at Tecumseh about 40 years. He received his schooling at Tecumseh.
His marriage to Miss Nellie Falk of Tecumseh took place at Tecumseh June 8, 1906. Six children were born to them. After he was married, Mr. Haughton worked as a mechanic for the telephone company at Auburn for several years. They lived on a farm at Byron about four years. Mr. Haughton was a night watchman for the city of Tecumseh 20 years. They moved to a farm south of Tecumseh in 1930 and lived there until 1944.

Mr. Haughton married Mrs. Amy Memberger of Watson June 25. 1949. Mrs. Haughton died after a car accident in May, 1958.
Also preceding Mr. Haughton in death were one daughter who died in infancy; and two sons. Everett Haughton Jr., who died as a small child, and Eugene Haughton, who died in a Lincoln hospital in September. 1956.
Surviving him are one daughter. Mrs. Albert (Mabel) Jochim of Watson. Mo; two sons. Earnest H. Haughton of Sterling and Everett Haughton Jr., of Danbury. Iowa. 16 grandchildren and four great grandcchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church at Wat- ! son. Rev. Lloyd Cooper of Wat- son was the minister.
The pallbearers were Donald Douglas. William Griffen. Grant Wolf. Charlie Christian. Warren Morgan and Orville Garst of Watson.
Graveside services were held in the Tecumseh cemetery. Rev. | Cooper came from Watson as the minister.
