CULHANE, Virginia Mae Houghton died November 15, 2017 at 89 years of age. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Robert Culhane; father, Neal Doyle Houghton PhD (UofA Political Science Professor Emeritus); mother, Esther Mae Steele Houghton and stepmother, Katherine Houghton. We will miss her: children, Kathie (Tim), Diane, Bob (Melissa); grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben), Rachel (Alex), Sam, Megan, Anna, Jack and Neal. She has been our matriarch, supporting us with unconditional love. She has been our beacon, showing us how to live lives rooted in patience, acceptance, and love. Service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Saint Philips-in-the-Hills. We miss you, Mom.
