Benjamin Franklin was born to Robert and Mary Houghton, near Osealoosa. Iowa, October 25. 1882 and died in the Republic County hospital March 5, 1966.
He came to Kansas with his parents when three years old and has lived around the Courtland community most of his life. He retired from farming ten years ago.
He is survived by one sister. Mr and Mrs. Klmer Chadd of Court- land: a brother-in-law. A. T. Huntington. Conana Park. Cal; three nephews one niece and many friends.
Funeral services were held in the Tibbetts Bros. Funeral Home, Belleville, March 7 c onducted by the Reverend George Sills. Interment was in Courtland Cemetery.
