After Peter Avery Sr. and Mary moved to Alabama, Mary was prominent in the Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church in Murphree’s Valley, Oneonta, Blount Co., AL. She is the first woman mentioned as attending service on the first day of the Church’s history, 3/18/1820.
Their children David and Rubin (Ruben, Rueben?) are mentioned several times in the Church Book of the Mt. Moriah church from 1820. The last mention of Mary is in 1840.153
