| Biography | She was Mary's illegitimate daughter. In her marriage entry, Sarah is said to be the daughter of Thomas Douglas Snelson. Her school admission record ( 25 Aug 1924 ) says she is the granddaughter of Mary Douglas. Richard believes that the name Snelson was added erroneosly after Thomas Douglas and that the latter was the son of Mary Douglas. The question as yet unanswered is whether Mary and Thomas ever did marry ? Did she die before 25 Aug 1924. Who was Delme Colin Hall ? These are the questions on everyone's lips ..... like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives ! Further intrigue arises from the address at the time of her marriage in 1939 at 68 Lower Bridge Street. This is the same address as her grandparents in 1930 ( Sarah Ann Snelson ( nee Williams ). Maybe Sarah Ann ( junior ) 's real name was or should have been Sarah Ann DOUGLAS ? She is said to be the daughter of Thomas Douglas Snelson in the St Mary's marriage record ( 24 June 1939 ), but maybe this is not right ? [:CR:]. |
