NoteIn the 1851 Census, this James Mutch is listed and said to be the brother of Nathan Mutch. I think this is very unlikely. I have shown him here where he must be if he is really a brother. In the same 1851 Census he is recorded as an apprentice watch pinion maker. I don't think it likely that Sarah Appleton would be bearing children aged 62 so this must be wrong.
