  4. Betsey Jno. A. Smith Bible, shows county, state, and date, as "April 7th A.D. 1880 [sic]," which is obviously wrong. Shows age 35 yrs 6 mo. 217 days at death 21 Oct 1833. But the year of death is either wrong in the original or transcribed wrong, as it also shows her ninth child as born 11 Oct 1835 and lost her mother on 21st of same month. Recording age with 217 days is an unknown practice, and probably a transcription error. Assuming 17 days was meant, her birth date computes to 4 Apr 1880, suggesting the original entry was correct except for writing 1880 instead of 1800.
