Shecaniah (1 Chron 3) was the son of Hananiah (1 Chron 3).
I am considering Hattush, Igai, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat as sons of Shecaniah and not Shemaiah as this makes the comment "six in all" true. This is based on the reading Shemaih and his sons; to be a semicolon and not a colon. This is put forward as a possibility by the footnote to 1 Chron 3:22 in the NIV Study Bible.
