Agatha von Braunschweig was born about 1025 in Bavaria, Germany.1 She was the daughter of Count Ludolf von Branschweig and Gertrude von Egisheim.2 Agatha von Braunschweig married Prince Edward 'the Atheling' (of England), son of King Edmund II "Ironsides" (of England) and Ealdgyth (of Northumbria), about 1043.1 Agatha von Braunschweig died after 1066.1
She became the mother of King Edgar 'the Atheling' (of England) about 1036.2 Agatha von Braunschweig lived in West Friesland.1 She became the mother of Princess Christina 'Atheling' (of England) about 1044.2 Agatha von Braunschweig became the mother of Saint Margaret (of Scotland) about 1045.1
