Alice de Courtenay was born about 1160 in Courtenay, Galinois, France.2,1 She was the daughter of Prince Pierre (of France) and Isabelle (Elizabeth) De Courtenay.2 Alice de Courtenay married Aymer "Taillefer" de Valence, son of William Taillefer and Emma De Limoges, in 1180 in Angouleme, Aquitaine, France.2 Alice de Courtenay died in 1205.1 She is also reported to have died in 1218 in France.2
Alice's father Prince Pierre (of France) died in 1183 in Palestine, Israel.2 Alice de Courtenay became the mother of Isabella (of Angoulême) in 1188.3,2 Alice's daughter was married at wedding of Isabella (of Angoulême) and King John "Lackland" (of England) on 24 August 1200 in Bordeaux, Gironde, France.1,3,2
