Alfonso I Henriques was born on 25 July 1110 in Guimaraes, Portugal.1 He was the son of Henry I (of Burgendy) and Teresa (of Castile and Leon). Alfonso I Henriques married Maud (of Savoy), daughter of TODO, in 1146.1 Alfonso I Henriques died on 6 December 1185 in Coimbra at age 75.1 He was buried in Coimbra.1
