Countess Jeanne de Dammartin was born about 1216 of Dammartin, France.1 She was the daughter of Count Simon II (of Dammartin) and Countess Marie (Jeanne) (of Ponthieu and Montreuil).1 Countess Jeanne de Dammartin married King Fernando III 'The Saint' (of Castile And Léon), son of King Alfonso IX "el Barboro" (of Leon) and Queen Berengaria (of Castile), in 1237 in Burgos, Spain.3 Countess Jeanne de Dammartin died on 15 March 1279 in Abbeville, France.1
