Frances Folsom was born in 1864 in Buffalo, New York. She married President Grover Stephen Cleveland, son of Richard Falley Cleveland and Anne Neal, on 2 June 1886 in White House, Washington, DC.1,2 Frances Folsom died on 29 October 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland.1
Benjamin Harrison won the 1888 election, but Mrs. Cleveland told the servants to take good care of the White House. 'I want everything just the way it is now when we come back,' she said. 'That will be exactly four years from now.' She was right ...1 She became the mother of Ruth Cleveland on 3 October 1891.1 Frances Folsom became the mother of Esther Cleveland on 9 September 1893.1 Frances Folsom became the mother of Marion Cleveland on 7 July 1895.1 Frances Folsom became the mother of Richard Folsom Cleveland on 28 October 1897.1 Frances Folsom became the mother of Francis Grover Cleveland on 18 July 1903.1 Frances's daughter Ruth Cleveland died on 7 January 1904 in Princeton, New Jersey.1 Frances Folsom became a widow with the death of her husband, President Grover Stephen Cleveland on 24 June 1908 in Princeton, New Jersey, at age 71.1 Frances's daughter was married at wedding of Marion Cleveland and William Stanley Dell on 28 November 1917.1 Frances's daughter was married at wedding of Esther Cleveland and William Sidney Bence Bosanquet on 14 March 1918 in Westminster Abbey, England.1 Frances's son was married at wedding of Richard Folsom Cleveland and Ellen Douglas Gailor on 20 June 1923.1 Frances's son was married at wedding of Francis Grover Cleveland and Alice Erdman on 20 June 1925.1 Frances's son was married at wedding of Richard Folsom Cleveland and Jesse Maxwell Black on 12 June 1943.1
