He became the father of Hope Malmsbury on 7 September 1804.1 Benjamin's daughter was married at wedding of Hope Malmsbury and James Hemingway in 1823 in Columbiana County, Ohio.1 Benjamin Malmsbury became a widower with the death of his wife, Jane Cattell on 29 March 1853 at age 72.1
