Count Johann Reinhard III (of Hanau) was born on 1 August 1665 in Bischhoffsheim, Bas-Rhin, France.1 He married Princess Dorothea Friederike (of Brandenburg-Ansbach), daughter of Margrave Johann Friedrich (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) and Princess Johanne Elisabeth (of Baden), on 20 August 1699 in Hanau, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 Count Johann Reinhard III (of Hanau) died on 28 March 1736 in Hanau, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, at age 70.1
He became the father of Countess Charlotte Christine Magdalene (of Hanau-Lichtenberg) on 2 May 1700.1 Johann Reinhard III's daughter was married at wedding of Countess Charlotte Christine Magdalene (of Hanau-Lichtenberg) and Landgrave Ludwig VIII (of Hesse-Darmstadt) on 5 April 1717 in Philippsruhe, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 Johann Reinhard III's daughter Countess Charlotte Christine Magdalene (of Hanau-Lichtenberg) died on 1 July 1726 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 Count Johann Reinhard III (of Hanau) became a widower with the death of his wife, Princess Dorothea Friederike (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) on 13 March 1731 in Hanau, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, at age 54.1
