Princess Dorothea Wilhelmine (of Saxony-Zeitz) was born on 20 March 1691 in Moritzburg An Der Elster, Saxony, Prussia.¹ She was the daughter of Duke Moritz Wilhelm (of Saxony Zeitz) and Princess Marie Amalie (of Brandenburg).¹ Princess Dorothea Wilhelmine (of Saxony-Zeitz) married Landgrave Wilhelm VIII (of Hesse-Kassel), son of Landgrave Karl (of Hesse-Kassel) and Princess Marie Amalie (of Kurland), on 27 September 1717 in Moritzburg An Der Elster, Saxony, Prussia.¹ Princess Dorothea Wilhelmine (of Saxony-Zeitz) died on 11 March 1743 in Kassel, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, at age 51.¹ She was buried on 27 March 1743 at St. Martinskirche, Kassel, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.¹
