Grand Duke Vasilij II(III) 'The Blind' (of Moscow) was born about 10 March 1415 of Moskva, Moskva, Russia.¹ He was the son of Grand Duke Vasilij I (II) (of Moscow And Vladimir) and Princess Sofija (of Lithuania).¹ Grand Duke Vasilij II(III) 'The Blind' (of Moscow) married Princess Mariya Yaroslavna (of Borovsk), daughter of Duke Yaroslav Afanasij Vladimirovich (of Borovsk and Maloyraoslavets) and Mariya Fedorovna Koshkina-Goltyaeva, on 8 February 1433 in Borovsk, Kaluga, Russia.¹ Grand Duke Vasilij II(III) 'The Blind' (of Moscow) died on 27 March 1462.¹
