Alexandre Fedorovna was born on 6 June 1872 in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany.1 She was the daughter of Grand Duke Louis (of Hesse) and Princess Alice Maud Mary (of Saxe-Coburg).1 Alexandre Fedorovna married Nikolas II Romanov, son of Alexander III Alexandrovich (of Russia) and Czarina Mariya (Dagmar) (of Russia), on 26 November 1894 at the Winter Palace, St. Petersburg, Russia.1 Alexandre Fedorovna died on 16 July 1918 in Ekaterinburg, Russia, at age 46.1
